Honored to be WCCC’s Spotlight Member

What an honor it was to be chosen as the July Member Spotlight from the Westmoreland County Chamber. While we have been with the chamber for less than a year, it has definitely been a rewarding and successful experience. I think in some businesses, people think that joining their local chamber can be a waste of time and money, but what they are missing is something you can’t truly buy. Connections.

Being successful in business isn’t always about building the bottom line, but building relationships and connections around you and your business. The Westmoreland County Chamber gives us ample opportunities and events to build these relationships with our local business colleagues and in turn, grow our own businesses and local communities.

The Chamber strives to promote the continuous improvement of the common good and the quality of life in the community through the pursuit of new business; the cultural, social, and economic education of our citizens; and by providing accurate and timely assistance to the business community.

The Westmoreland County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit 501(c)6 membership based organization focused on serving the business needs of roughly 1,000 members across Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. We strive to represent the area’s business and community interests through actively promoting a pro-business climate in our region. We are an active force in the community that seeks to promote Westmoreland County as the premier place to live, learn, work, shop, and play.

Meet our Member Spotlight for July: Carl Jones, President/CEO of Business Solutions Today.

Founded by Carl in 2012, Business Solutions Today is an online marketing & management agency based out of Ligonier. His team of experts oversee anywhere from one or two aspects of a business’ online marketing to complete online management, based on each client’s specific needs.

Services they provide include online management strategies & business development, website management, design, development and optimization, Google services management (Google Search, Plus, Maps, Reviews), Google Analytics tracking & management, SEO/SEM, AdWords marketing, PPC advertising, social media management, local listings management, email marketing, CRM – customer relationship management, reputation and reviews management, brand management, mobile marketing and graphic design.

“The internet, while being a wonderful tool for businesses to use, can be very complex and scary for the average business owner,” he explains. “They usually work 10-12 hour days at their business and don't want to come home and sit in front of their computer working on their digital presence. It's a great feeling to be able to remove that burden from their shoulders and help their business grow.”

What does Carl enjoy most about his Chamber membership? He says, “I love the connections I am making with the Chamber. Everyone from the staff to the members is really caring and fun. I didn't join expecting to get a bunch of new clients, I am looking to build relationships.”

When he’s not working, you might find Carl and his wife Susan playing music all over western PA as ‘Mr. Jones & The Diva’. They also spend as much time as possible with their 7 grandchildren.
